 Need a Boost

When you spend a lot of time talking bad about others or looking down on other people's
behaviour, you might be in the risk zone of not feeling good about yourself. Other warning
signs of a low self-image are:

  • You do things to show others that you are capable, and not doing it for yourself.

  • You think everything is related to you. You are being very self-centered if you think everybody is
talking about you. Everybody is thinking about their own stuff so there is not room for them to think
    about you all the time.

  • You always compare yourself with others. When you compare yourself to others, you are loosing
out on your own power. We all come in different shape and sizes and I bet somebody wants
something you have and vice versa. We all do this but it is when you constant trying to measure
up to others where you lose some of your own precious self. We all have something special to
offer and when you realize what it is you are great at, you will find that glow again.

  • You are stuck in one thought process all the time. If you think everything is unfair and nobody
understands you, you risk missing the opportunities around you. Opportunities are around you
all the time but if you think everybody is trying to get you, or you think you cannot do this or that,
or whatever your thoughts are, you are missing out on having a different experience. That experience
might open you up to find another way of looking at your life, which will increase your inspiration
    of doing new things.

What you can do to feel better right now

Take a deep breathe, three times in a row. This will help in any situation where tension is
present. Deep breathing has an amazing effect on your relaxation level and overall wellness.

Change your scenery, take a walk, sit on the deck, move around.
All of this will change your energy and you will be more inspired to do things.

Phone a friend that you haven't spoken to for a while. Everybody likes to hear
from old friends. Or email them so they know you are there if they want to chat.

Take a dog for a walk. If you don't have a dog, maybe your friend's got one,
dogs loves to go for a walk, all the time.

Next time you are invited to do something that is outside your comfort zone, try
to say YES. Only by saying yes will shift your energy and you will feel more alive.

Say no to gossip. When you are engaging in negative self-talk or talking bad about
others, you are zapping the good energy. When you end that negative conversation
you will have less motivation than what you had when your started. Take notice or be
observant on your thoughts next time you are doing this.

Read a book that has inspired you in the past, or get a new book that might be similar
      to the one you read.

Be kind to yourself. Focus on your successes in life and on what you did good today.
For example: you gave a stranger a smile, you were patient while you were waiting
in line, you made a great dinner for your family....
